THANK YOU! ❤️🤍 A massive thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for our pre-match garden party and to watch the England game. The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic, and it was brilliant to see so many families, friends and supporters coming together, enjoying themselves and backing England. That’s exactly what a community pub is all about. Unfortunately, a small number of people have chosen to make complaints about the pub. As the owner, I can honestly say that we followed every condition of our premises licence. We introduced strict garden rules, used plastic glasses where required, had security in place, supervised the event and did everything by the book. We take our responsibilities seriously and always work hard to balance running a successful business with being respectful to our neighbours. What happened to community spirit? What happened to supporting local businesses? What happened to children being able to enjoy themselves safely with their families? Yesterday brought people together to support their nation in one of the biggest sporting tournaments in the world, and that is something we are proud to provide. The Birch Tree has been part of this community for many years, long before many of the surrounding homes were built. We will always continue to be a welcoming, family-friendly community pub that brings people together while operating within the law and respecting our licence. To the overwhelming majority who came along, supported us and helped create such a great atmosphere—thank you. Your support means the world to us, and we look forward to welcoming you all again for the next England match. Come on England! 🏴❤️
